Antique Furniture Restoration
Antique restoration and other unusual collectible refurbishing is our favorite kind of repair. We’ve repaired statues, incubators, record players and children’s wooden rockers. If you’ve got odd antiques or collectibles that you don’t know where to take, put in an estimate with us. We can probably fix it!
Some of our favorite antique furniture repair projects are a vintage record player console and a vintage chicken incubator table. (photos below) We restored a delicate French chair that was shattered in four pieces. The chair was repaired and original upholstery restored. (photo below)
For an ornate sideboard we removed a brown furniture stain stain to reveal a gorgeous walnut and maple burled sideboard. With a tung oil finish and a standard hardware polish, the sideboard was revived. (photo below).
For a roll top desk restoration with a failing tambour, the canvas that holds all of the rolling slats in place, we took the entire roller apart, deep cleaned it, repaired the cracks and laid slats in new tambour. The roll top was then affixed onto the refinished desk. (photo below)
