Mid-Century Modern Furniture
Northrop’s Furniture Shop can repair mid-century modern furniture, including but not limited to Herman Miller Eames Lounge chair restoration and Knoll Lounge chair repair.
For a Danish mid-century headboard that needed a full restoration including veneer work, we removed the harsh stain and applied a Danish oiled walnut finish. (photo below)
Furniture oiling is the best when restoring and refinishing walnut furniture as was the case for a mid-century modern Dillingham desk. The finish lasts a long time and can be reapplied over the years. (photo below)
Similarly, for a Danish teak dining room chair restoration, we deep cleaned the teak, removed hand oils and paint nicks and then applied a teak oil. We also reupholstered the chairs and modified bended inserts in the back panels. (photo below)
